Overview

We are looking for a Courier/Receptionist for our Harrisburg, PA office.  This position provides a professional company image by maintaining and operating the reception area efficiently, and will perform courier and facilities support as needed.

 

This is a full-time 30 hour per week position.  The hours are as follows:

  • 10:30 am-5:00 pm Monday and Friday; 30 min lunch
  • 8:00 am-2:30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; 30 min lunch

 

Responsibilities

Courier Duties 

  • Performs deliveries/pick-ups for the office by vehicle
  • Help to maintain the overall cleanliness and order/organization of the office space; clean and maintain the office, kitchen, and archeology lab; i.e. including loading and unloading the dishwasher, changing light bulbs in cubicles and fixing minor issues.
  • Liaison for building management and outside vendors to arrange for repairs and maintenance relative to office furnishings, fixtures, equipment and space
  • Coordination of workstation moves and other space adjustments to meet business needs.
  • Meeting set-up and take-down, providing catered meals for meetings as needed.

Receptionist Duties

  • Answer all incoming calls on a multi-line system for entire staff; take messages, page, email, call or transfer calls to staff members.
  • Greet all visitors and direct them to specific meetings.
  • Manage and maintain office and conference room calendars.
  • General administrative tasks for office: fax, copy, type
  • Pick up, open, date stamp and distribute mail accordingly.
  • Prepare UPS mailings and order supplies and record UPS deliveries in log everyday
  • Oversee the operation of machinery in mailroom including the postage meter
  • Place supply orders for beverages and general office supplies, and maintain proper records along with stocking levels throughout the office on a weekly basis.
  • Assist with checking of vendor invoices, as required, and monitoring of vendor performance, escalating questions/concerns to the facilities department
  • Any and all other duties deemed necessary related to the front desk operation and to any and all administrative, office and staff members
