Overview

McCormick Taylor is seeking an experienced, responsible, detail-oriented Information Technology professional for our Baltimore, MD office. Covered office locations include Baltimore, MD; Salisbury, MD; and Silver Spring, MD - supporting approximately 110 end users. The qualified candidate will be knowledgeful in up and coming computer technologies, have strong PC problem solving, customer service and troubleshooting skills, and an ability to learn new software applications quickly.

 

Reporting to the office leadership and Philadelphia-based Manager of Information Technology, this individual will perform a wide range of tasks from general office administration to computer maintenance.

 

Hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. A willingness and ability to be on call, travel, and work overtime on an as-needed basis are important parts of this position.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs Microsoft Windows based computer systems
  • Knowledge of Computer networks, network administration including maintenance of user account information, computer virus/malware remediation
  • Maintenance and support for computer peripherals including network printers, plotters, telephone devices and other network equipment
  • Ability to operate in spreadsheets, word-processing, graphics and website development programs
  • Provide ongoing support for end users via both on-site and remote support

 

Qualifications

 

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Products
  • A+ Certification 

 

Work Experience Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years experience in similar role is required
  • Self-starter, able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; excellent communication (oral and written) 
  • Ability to travel independently between offices

 

Special Qualifications, Training & Skills

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Experience with Bentley MicroStation software a plus
  • HTML/Microsoft SharePoint experience a plus
