Overview

McCormick Taylor has an immediate opportunity for a Water Resources Manager with 10+ years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics engineering, stormwater management (PCSM), erosion and sediment control design, NPDES Permitting and MS4 support to join our Harrisburg, PA office.

 

Responsibilities

This position is an opportunity to work on, manage and supervise complex stormwater management/roadway drainage design work driven by current regulatory requirements, and work with our transportation design team, environmental staff and regulatory agencies to support the permitting process for various projects. Additionally this person will manage local water resources staff and workload, coordinate with senior company management, and contribute to related marketing and growth efforts in the central and western PA markets.

 

Water resources work may include design of storm drains, culverts and structures; floodplain studies, watershed analysis, PCSM design, erosion & sediment control, MS4 permitting support, support for stream restoration design, and related services including peer review of the same. Role may also include management of contracts and client relationships. Design work will be primarily in PA, with occasional support of projects in MD, VA and other regional offices in the mid-Atlantic/SE.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of BS in Water Resources engineering, civil engineering, or biological systems engineering
  • 10+ years Water Resource Engineering experience
  • Strong organizational, communication and management skills, including budget development and tracking
  • PennDOT Stormwater design and permitting experience preferred
  • PA PE Registration required
  • Must be proficient in WinTR-55/TR-20, HEC-RAS, PondPack and Erosion & Sediment Control design
  • Work experience using Storm CAD, AutoCAD and/or Microstation
  • Inroads Storm and Sanitary, SWM modeling, HEC-HMS and/or 2D Modeling experience is a plus
  • GIS, NPDES Phase I and II, General Permit and Program is a plus
