    McCormick Taylor's Harrisburg, PA office is seeking a Water Resources Designer/ Engineer with a BS in Civil Engineering and 0-5 years' experience with an emphasis on water resources.  The Water Resources Group projects range from drainage improvements and flood studies to storm drain design, stormwater retrofits and stream restoration.  This position provides the opportunity to apply innovative techniques for design and construction of stormwater management systems for transportation and public works clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

    Responsibilities

    • Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling using WinTR-55/TR-20, HEC-RAS, Inroads Storm and Sanitary
    • Collection and analysis of field data, as-built plans and engineering reports to establish existing conditions and identify critical areas for design criteria
    • Design of stormwater management systems for water quality and quantity control
    • Preparation of drainage, soil erosion and sediment control, utility relocation, right-of-way, staging and construction plans, specifications and engineering estimates for water resources and transportation projects
    • Development of topographic and base mapping using GIS and MicroStation
    • Occasional construction oversight of water resources improvement projects
    • The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of Hydrologic and Hydraulic principles and practices
    • The candidate must have hands-on experience using MicroStation and GIS
    • Familiarity with Pennsylvania projects preferred; additional states in Mid-Atlantic a plus
    • In addition, the candidate will be expected to be proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Power Point at a minimum

    Qualifications

    • The successful candidate must possess a BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Water Resources
    • An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred
