    McCormick Taylor is seeking a Highway Engineer to join our Raleigh, NC office.  We are open to candidates across the United States with strong highway design experience with various Departments of Transportation.  The ideal candidate will have their P.E.

     

    ***Relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate willing to relocate to Raleigh, NC for this role.***

     

    The primary duties of the Highway Engineer are to serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/bridge projects. Experience should include urban and rural highway design, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept design plans, geometric layout and CAD based plans.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and evaluate project plans and design criteria for a variety of roadway, bridge or intersection projects
    • Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering project
    • Involved with the preparation of proposals, scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments
    • Coordination with utility companies to develop relocation plans is a plus

     

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in the design and management of highway/roadway, civil engineering and transportation projects NCDOT
    • B.S. in Civil Engineering
    • P.E. required
    • Strong communications and technical writing skills
    • Proficient with MicroStation, InRoads, MS Office
