  • Overview

    McCormick Taylor is seeking a Transportation Construction Managers, Supervisors and Inspectors to work with our Construction Management/Inspection group on various PennDOT and local construction projects. Candidate will be responsible for the inspection and documentation of construction activities on projects in the PennDOT District 5 (Lehigh Valley) & District 6 (Philadelphia) Regions.


    • Inspection and Documentation of roadway, bridge, streetscapes, and municipal projects
    • Confirming all Safety requirements are being followed
    • Ensuring all project records are being kept on a daily basis
    • Testing of Materials in accordance with standards for QA/QC
    • Preparing Estimates for payments to contractors
    • Oversee, inspect and monitor contractual field work
    • Communicate with the owner on a frequent basis regarding the progress of the project
    • Communicate with designer/engineer as needed regarding RFI's and field changes
    • Conduct and document regular progress meetings during construction


    • Current ACI Concrete Field Technician Certification
    • Current NICET Level II or Higher Certification in Transportation Engineering.
    • Current NECEPT Bituminous and Concrete Certifications
    • Nuclear Gauge Safety (preferred, but not required)
    • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, ECMS, and or CDS-V3
    • Understanding of Construction Schedules
    • High school diploma (or equivalent) plus five years related experience OR an Associate's Degree in a technical field plus three years related experience is required.
    • Excellent communications skills and technical writing skills are a must.
    • Reading and understanding plans and specifications
    • Construction oversight/inspection with an emphasis on PennDOT Specifications, Standards, and techniques.
    • A valid driver's license is required.
