    McCormick Taylor is seeking an Environmental Compliance Consultant to join our Energy/Utilities Group in Northern Teir. The ideal candidate will have an operational focused background with excellent communication skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, self-starting team player who is highly organized and able to work effectively under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

    Responsibilities

    • Primary internal environmental point of contact.
      • Lead for agency inspections or audits.
      • Main contact for reporting and coordinating incidents or spills.
    • Understands and ensures procedures, guidance documents, and work practices are being complied with.
    • Reviews and files any reports, inspections, forms, or training records generated for project, including those developed by the EIs.
    • Completes construction self-assessments and informal reviews of the project and records to ensure compliance.
    • Participates in or provides environmental training for project team, including contractors.
    • Participates in project rollout of permits and plans. 
    • Leads root cause analysis for noncompliance issues and develops corrective actions.
    • Reviews and/or develops FERC variance requests.
    • Updates tracking systems (incidents, violations, etc).
    • May support or complete any of the responsibilities of the EIs as conditions warrant.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Extensive experience in the environmental field
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Strong team building and team facilitation skills
    • Knowledgeable in understanding of the Clean Air Act, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Superfund and Amendments and Reauthorization Act (Sara Tier II), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC regulations)
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to translate environmental regulations and permit and plan requirements into understandable compliance guidance
    • Licensed to operate a motor vehicle
