McCormick Taylor is seeking a certified PE with a BS in Civil Engineering or similar  and 5-10+ years' experience with an emphasis on water resources.  This position is based out of our Baltimore, MD office location.




  •  Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling using WinTR-55/TR-20, HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, HEC-HMS, Inroads Storm and Sanitary
  • Collection and analysis of field data, as-built plans and engineering reports to establish existing conditions and identify critical areas for design criteria
  • Design of stormwater management systems for water quality and quantity control
  • Preparation of drainage, soil erosion and sediment control, utility relocation, right-of-way, staging and construction plans, specifications and engineering estimates for water resources and transportation projects
  • Development of topographic and base mapping using GIS and MicroStation
  • Preparing Environmental Permit Applications, coordination with permitting agencies
  • Occasional construction oversight of water resources improvement projects



  • The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of Hydrologic and Hydraulic principles and practices
  • The candidate must have hands-on experience using MicroStation; GeoPak or OpenRoads experience a plus
  • Familiarity with MDOT projects preferred; other Mid-Atlantic DOT experience plus
  • Experience performing on-site roles with MDOT modals, and/or expedited review for SWM/ESC a big plus


Education Required:

  • The successful candidate should possess a BS degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering; an emphasis on Water Resources is a plus
  • PE strongly preferred; may consider a strong EI with pending PE exam.
