McCormick Taylor is seeking a qualified  Transportation Engineer to join our new Fort Myers, FL location. Candidate should have a detailed understanding of transportation engineering projects, planning, analysis and design for Lee County, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Florida Turnpike Enterprise


  • Work directly with our Senior Manager, Traffic Engineering based in Florida on planning, analysis and design of highway and traffic engineering projects
  • Support exisiting client relationships, as well as research new client base
  • Aid in proposal writing/preparation and marketing efforts


  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
  • A FL Professional Engineer license highly preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar position
  • Highway/roadway/traffic design experience with direct experience with FDOT and FTE design criteria, standards and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and with limited supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to staff and client
